When did you first start working for Manchester Pride?January 2008
Where have you worked previously? I have worked in Theatre & Events Management for a number of years, on both a freelance basis and at venues such as The Lowry, Leeds Grand Theatre and The Palace Theatre Manchester. I also run an independent production company staging theatre and comedy events.
What are your hopes for this years Manchester Pride?I have been attending Manchester Pride since 1999 and every year the event has evolved, providing an exciting programme of events, each and every year. This year is the 18th Birthday and it is going to be one spectacular party! I hope that there will be a great mix of music, comedy, arts and entertainment to suit everyone’s taste.
Why is Manchester Pride so important?Manchester Pride, every year shows such diversity and inclusivity, whilst raising funds for a number of organisations and charities, for which these funds are vital in providing services to our community.
What’s the worst thing you’ve had to do for Pride?Nothing yet, but I am sure during the 20 hours days over Pride there will be something!
Best Pride moment?Ask me during the festival and I am sure there will be plenty!
