What do you do?

I'm an actor and Artistic Director of Hope Theatre Company.

How did you get involved in Manchester Pride as a patron?

I was honoured to be asked to be a patron this year. I have been involved with Manchester Pride for ten years -either presenting, performing, raising funds - or just partying!

What are your aspirations for Manchester Pride?

I look forward to it growing and developing. It's become much more than just the weekend now, there is so much happening around the city in the weeks leading up to Pride - a real sense that Manchester is a city that truly celebrates diversity.

When was your first Pride?

About 1994/95 I think - the Mardi Gras era!

What are you most looking forward to at this years event?

I love the parade! It seems to get bigger and bigger every year. I also always look forward to hanging out on Canal Street over Pride - you always bump into people you haven't seen for years or only ever see at Pride!
