What do you do?

I am the Managing Editor of BBC Radio Manchester , a board member of Gaydio and a Manchester Green Badge Tour Guide.

How did you get involved in Manchester Pride?

I first came to Manchester in 1991 for a Stop Clause on 28 March and fell in love with the city. I settled here permanently in 2002 and came to Pride every year. I offered to help with its organisation and was asked to join the board.

How long have you been a Board member?

Since December 2006

What are your aspirations for Manchester Pride?

To remain the best loved LGBT event in the UK, raising even more for charity and Manchester’s profile across the community. The breadth of the festival gets wider every year. Meeting everyone's expectations of the Big Weekend each year is a brilliant but challenging aspiration! I was delighted to be asked to join the Board, and look forward to helping make Pride better than ever.
