Village Manchester Football Club would like to thank everyone at Manchester Pride Community Fund for the grant we have been awarded.

This crucial financial support enables our club to continue to maintain and develop our website www.vmfc.co.uk, playing a vital role in raising awareness of our club and encouraging gay men in the Manchester area and beyond to get involved in the sport as players or supporters.

The fund will also have an important contribution to the purchase of vital sports training equipment which will be used at our regular weekly training sessions.

It is with real pleasure that we are writing to Thank You and the Manchester Pride Community Fund Panel for showing your continued support and faith in the greatly needed work we do at Icebreakers by awarding us a grant for £750.

These monies are particularly needed as they will cover our ever increasing core costs as well as some of the funds going towards volunteer training.

It is often difficult for established groups to get funding for core costs, therefore, it is especially welcome that these costs will again be covered by monies raised by our own community.

Volunteers at Icebreakers

Thank you very much from LIK:T, Lesbian and Gay Youth Manchester and LGBT Youth North West for all your help in Making Youth Pride this year a big success.

We had over 300 young people access the community space on the Friday evening of Pride for the Youth Space Event. On stage we had the fantastic young Beyond the Box Performers from Contact Theatre, DJ Tracey Gue and a variety of other entertainment. Eclypse drugs and alcohol service provided some great fun with the 'Beer Goggles' activity which lots of people took part in, and Warrington LGBT youth group GLYSS did a smashing job with the sumo suits! Our graffitti wall and banner both looked fab at the end to with dozens of contributions on them.

We look forward to running the event again next year and making it bigger and better!

Thank you for all your help and support

All the best,

Amelia
