A few words from the Lesbian and Gay Foundation about Manchester Pride 2007...

"It was a fantastic feeling to win Manchester Pride's 2007 award for Best Walking entry.  We felt it was very important to get our message across of how homophobia still affects all of us and the parade showed us that we can still celebrate pride, raise serious issues affecting our communities and talk about the work we do at the same time.  Even more of a surprise was the fact that it was the first time in 16 years of attending the parade that we have won anything! Being part of Manchester Pride's big parade is one of the best ways to enjoy this fantastic festival and celebrate all that we have achieved together as LGBT people."
