BAREFOOT WINE RETURNS TO SUPPORT MANCHESTER PRIDE
Barefoot Wine has been a proud and active supporter of the LGBT community for over two decades, and is excited to be sponsoring Manchester Pride 2011 this August, helping to celebrate its 21st birthday in magnificent style.
Barefoot Wine will be joining the Manchester Pride party for the whole event – as well as the Barefoot Wine Bar, look out for the Barefoot Wine entry in the Manchester Pride Parade. Sarah Mason is Manchester’s very own Barefooter, and she’s looking forward to meeting everyone who stops by; “Manchester Pride’s 21st anniversary is going to be amazing event and we’ll be handing out goodies as well as serving some “gayishly delicious” Barefoot Wine. So make sure you come and say hello and tell us how your Pride’s going!”
Barefoot Wine’s award winning range traces its roots back to the carefree days of California in the 1960’s, but its success really kicked off when it relaunched in 1986 as a much-needed wine that didn’t take itself too seriously. Part of the Barefoot Wine philosophy is that good things happen to those that do good, and for years our Barefooters have worked with communities and partnered with non-profit organisations, including those in the LGBT community.
Throughout 2011, Barefoot Wine is supporting hundreds of LGBT events, including Pride events in Liverpool, Brighton, Berlin and Amsterdam. We’ve toasted same-sex marriages on top of a giant wedding cake and we’ve supported Pride festivals around the globe and danced with every kind of Foot Fan out there.
Our other community initiatives also include this summer’s biggest ever Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project, in partnership with Surfers Against Sewage.
Barefoot Wine’s six varietals are Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Moscato, Merlot, Shiraz and White Zinfandel, and the range is available from Tesco, Co-Op, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, independent stores and all G-A-Y venues including Manchester.
If you have an event coming up that you would like our help or support with, or for more information on Barefoot Wine, contact Manchester’s Barefooter, Sarah Mason on sarahm@barefootwine.com.
