Manchester Pride's Village Hall, situated on Chorlton Street Car Park within the Big Weekend site, offers a privte and intimate space to host special interest groups over the weekend for entertainment, fun and a great chance to socialise with people who share a common interest away from the crowds of Canal Street. A broad range of groups will be hosting their own special day within the Village Hall at Manchester Pride 2008.
From 8pm until 10pm Youth Pride will be offering a safe space for LGBT Youth. COme and learn some new circus skills, have a sumo battle, create some graffiti and enjoy the music in this safe space for LGBT Youth. www.lgbtyoutnorthwest.org.uk
Sparkle organisers will once again be hosting a full evening of entertainment until 11pm on Saturday 23 August in The Village Hall on Chorlton Street Car Park, near Canal Street and the Main Stage.
This is the third year that the transgender organisation will have an official presence at Manchester Pride festival! More info will be here shortly.
From 1pm until 11pm, the women's space will be celebrating Manchester Pride with a day of events to amuse, inform and entertain. There will be a wide range of entertainment to reflect the diversity of the lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered women's communities including bands, cabaret acts, dance, performance, poets, book readings, DJs and comediennes. www.manchesterlcp.org.uk
During the afternoon, the wonderful Rosi Lugosi will host the Manchester Pride alternative stage including amongst other things comedy, burlesque perfoemance and poetry!
