DISCO INFERNO - A MANCHESTER PRIDE 2008 CLOSING PARTY

Recently Manchester legend, Cruz 101, celebrated it’s landmark sixteenth birthday – a triumph of it’s success. The club is open six nights a week and it’s longest running night is still going strong every Monday, ‘Disco Inferno’. It was launched in 1993 and immediately became the destination for Gay Manchester’s club scene. Originally two floors, one 70’s Disco, the other 80’s New Romantic, the theme of the night has been gradually changing, reflecting the clientele, and now incorporates pop, dance & r’n’b with those 70’s Disco classics, while downstairs spins a more contemporary mix of euphoric dance & trance anthems.

Of course, a Manchester Pride Closing Party on Monday 25th August 2008 will be part of Disco Inferno as in previous years, and this year Cruz 101 is throwing a party of ‘Studio 54’ proportions!

As ever, two absolutely packed floors of Manchester clubbers, celebrating the end of the largest Pride event in the country. This special event is a huge thank you to all the people who gave up their time to volunteer from Pride who each get free entry.

Making this a ‘super-special’ event, the amazing Gwen Dickey - ‘Rose Royce’ will be live on stage performing hits including ‘Wishing on a star’, ‘Love Don't Live Here Anymore’, and the hit that became the soundtrack of the 70’s, ‘Car Wash’! Miss Cara & her boys will be presiding over events ensuring you have way too much fun!
