Manchester Pride Parade 2009

manchester pride community fund 2009

Manchester Pride in association with the Lesbian & Gay Foundation are proud to announce that the final figure available for grants after this year’s successful Manchester Pride event is £33,750. Thanks must go to everyone who generously supported charities and community groups that weekend.

Who can apply?

Any group or project working in Greater Manchester which is either a registered charity or another form of legally established community or voluntary group. The Fund is not able to give money to individuals or to statutory or private sector organisations.

We particularly welcome applications from organisations or groups applying in partnership with other organisations.

What can be funded?

Lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans projects and groups where there is a clear aim to:

  • Improve or enhance health and wellbeing
  • Improve or enhance cultural and artistic endeavours
  • Generally improve or enhance the quality of life

of Greater Manchester’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Trans population.

The Manchester Pride Community Fund Panel wishes to see the money raised put to the best possible use:

  • The maximum amount that can be applied for is £1,000
  • Multiple applications from the same organisation will not be accepted due to the large number of applications we receive.
  • Priority will be given to organisations which have a proven track record of delivering their service and completion of previous monitoring information.
  • Due to the limited nature of the funds it may not be possible to pay you the full amount of your application and the panel reserve the right to reduce any award you may be granted, so we encourage groups to apply for the money that they need rather than the maximum amount available.

How do you apply?

Applications for the Manchester Pride Community Fund 2009 are now closed but please check back in November 2010 to find out how you can apply.
