As always, the heart of Manchester Pride Festival remains firmly in The Gay Village, where we will be celebrating LGBTQ+ life with an incredible line-up of community talent, performances, The Expo, markets, amazing food & drink, parties amongst the Village venues and so much more! Join us for the ultimate street party from Friday 28th August – Monday 31st August.

Our annual Manchester Pride Parade will fill the streets with colour on Saturday 29th August as we march and protest for LGBTQ+ equality, with hundreds of thousands gathering to cheer us on along the way. Keep an eye out for this year’s Parade theme announcement!

After a phenomenal inaugural year, Manchester Pride Live will return to Mayfield from Saturday 29th – Sunday 30th August, where we’ll be celebrating with another stellar line-up of international talent across multiple stages, some fun activities, fantastic food & drink and lots more to be announced…

Youth Pride MCR is an event especially curated for LGBTQ+ young people aged 16 to 25 aimed at creating a safe and nourishing space where the younger members of the community enjoy a variety of exciting performances and activities.

The Superbia Weekend is Manchester Pride Festival's free-to-attend, alcohol-free space offering a weekend of culturally rich LGBTQ+ celebrations spanning, art, film, performance, conversation and more. More information to come!

The Candlelit Vigil will continue to close the four days with a moment of reflection in Sackville Gardens. The home of Alan Turing and the Beacon of Hope will again be turned into a sea of flickering candles as we remember those lost to HIV, those who are suffering, those who are persecuted, and recognise the many challenges that are still faced by LGBTQ+ communities here and around the world.

Further information on Manchester Pride Festival 2020 will be available in the coming months - stay tuned for updates.

…AND WE LISTENED

Your feedback is vital to the development and progression of our celebrations and the work we do as a charity, and we value the helpful feedback we received regarding Manchester Pride Festival 2019.

We’ve listened to your feedback and have implemented some changes to Manchester Pride Festival 2020 to ensure a smoother and more accessible celebration.

Ticketing

We will reduce the amount of tickets sold to ensure a comfortable experience for all those attending Manchester Pride Festival.

Klarna

We will introduce Klarna as a method of payment, allowing you to spread the cost of your ticket to Manchester Pride Festival over several months.

Toilet facilities

We will increase the amount of toilets we provide at Manchester Pride Festival, and change their locations.

Accessibility

We are dedicated to making sure our events are accessible to everyone, and will be conducting numerous accessibility listening groups this year. We will be seeking expert advice from relevant disability charities and the community who we feel can offer valuable input on our accessibility offerings for Manchester Pride Festival 2020, and are also working in partnership with Attitude is Everything who will be accrediting us.

Visitor experience

With all of the above changes, we endeavour to ensure that everyone in attendance at Manchester Pride Festival 2020 has a comfortable and enjoyable experience celebrating, campaigning and fundraising with us.
