Passionate about Pride? Then why not be one of our Trustees!
Manchester Pride, the charity which exists to help celebrate LGBT+ life across Greater Manchester, is looking for new Trustees to join its Board.
Underpinned by an exciting new three-year transformation strategy, Manchester Pride is a multi-million pound turnover not-for-profit organisation committed to creating a city – and a world - where people are able to live and love free from discrimination.
Manchester Pride exists to celebrate LGBT+ life, campaign for equality and raise essential funds for LGBT+ causes across Greater Manchester. Every year more than 250,000 people attend the year-round programme of events that we organise: from our annual Manchester Pride Festival to our Superbia arts and cultural programme. Our grants programme supports LGBT+ causes across Greater Manchester, from helping the Village Football Club buy new kit to multi-year partnerships with organisations like the LGBT Foundation and Albert Kennedy Trust which help achieve our vision.
As a Trustee of Manchester Pride you’ll be responsible for the governance of the charity: things like setting the direction of our strategy, ensuring our Chief Executive Officer and team have the resources they need to achieve our aims and, crucially, ensuring we remain compliant with charity law and best practice.
We are now welcoming applications from individuals who feel they could contribute to the future of the charity. It goes without saying you should share our charity’s aims, but you will also be:
Comfortable operating within a diverse Board of Trustees
Confident scrutinising a multi-million pound budget
Not afraid to step-out of your comfort zone to take an informed view of issues which may not naturally be your area of expertise.
We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with a professional background in the law, human resources or finance.
If you’d like to apply, please download the application form using the link below.
Thank you for considering being a part of Manchester Pride!
