Manchester Pride’s Community Sessions aim to platform issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community by bringing together professionals, those with lived experience and members of the community to learn, discuss, share resources and celebrate the diverse LGBTQ+ community that makes Manchester a brilliant place to live.
This month, join BiPhoria to talk about being bi+ in Greater Manchester. Hear from them about experiences of being included and excluded from the Pride movement, how to challenge biphobia and how to uplift and celebrate bisexuals everywhere.
At a Manchester Pride Community Event you can expect:
Engaging Discussions: Connect with people from all over Greater Manchester and learn from the lived experience and knowledge of community members living in Manchester.
Guest Speakers: Learn from the experiences of community members, artists and activists.
Networking Opportunities: Meet like-minded individuals who share your passion for creating a united community and wider understanding of marginalised communities in Greater Manchester. Exchange ideas, collaborate on initiatives, and explore potential partnerships.
Have a voice and be heard! We're opening up the floor for attendees to share their perspectives and experiences. Your voice matters, and we welcome anyone who is educated or has lived experience to share their knowledge.
Manchester Pride Community Sessions take place at The Proud Place - Manchester's LGBT+ Community Centre.
Doors open at 6pm, and the event takes place from 6:30pm-8pm.
Community Sessions are open to all LGBTQ+ people and allies.
Spaces at each session are limited, so please make sure you sign up to reserve your free place.
We want to ensure that our Community Sessions are accessible to all. Please contact info@manchesterpride.com if you have any accessibility requirements and our team will be happy to discuss any accommodations with you.
