What to expect at Family Pride MCR

Family Pride MCR is a guide to the many safe and welcoming spaces across the city for
families of all kinds to come together and express themselves freely. The guide allows you to
find events that offer children and families a friendly space to meet, connect and celebrate
pride in a way that’s designed just for them.

Family Tickets at Manchester Pride Festival

It's back! 2025 welcomes back our Family Pride MCR, a free, unticketed event full of
activities, crafts, shows and dancing for the whole family to enjoy. Family Pride MCR aims to
raise awareness of all sorts of families; whether that be same sex or transgender parents,
foster and/or adoptive families, blended families, single parent or multi-family households,
and everything in between. This event will cater towards everyone!

Manchester Pride Parade

This year’s pride parade is all about LOVE! Love is an integral part of the LGBTQIA+
community, providing hope, comfort, and the confidence to be authentic and fight for
equality. Come and join us for a spectacular afternoon dancing, cheering, and celebrating
diversity.

The Manchester Pride parade dates all the way back to 1988, and not only is it a
fantastic display of creativity and protest, but also a brilliant afternoon for the whole family!

Ginny Lemon’s Dog Show - Ticketed (as part of the Gay Village Party)

Ginny Lemon's Dog Show

A canine carnival! Ginny Lemon’s dog show has something for everyone - a spectacular
showcase of pooches and pups, with a side of craziness; come along for an event
you’ll never forget!

Please note: Whilst this is a family friendly event, the latter half of the event will contain adult
themes. If you or your family would like to head off before the pup show, there will be a short
break for you to do so.

In partnership with the LGBT foundation community lane is a wonderful array of small businesses, local and large charities, and community organisations. Community lane is a welcoming place full of enthusiastic individuals for you to step away from the bustle of the Gay Village, and have a browse, learn about new organisations, and socialise. Come along!
