After a dazzling debut in 2024, SCENE: Manchester’s LGBTQ+ Film and TV Festival is back and gearing up for an even bigger celebration of queer screen culture this summer.
The week-long festival will run from Friday, 15th August to Thursday, 21st August 2025, as an official partner event to the annual Manchester Pride celebrations, showcasing the best of both new and classic LGBTQ+ cinema and television.
Expect previews of brand new feature and short films, TV shows, documentaries and celebrations of favourites from the past along with Q&As, events, parties and more.
Screenings will be hosted in spaces throughout the city including outdoor screens, traditional cinemas and pop-up screens in iconic city venues, including HOME, CULTPLEX and AVIVA Studios.
SCENE will offer a mix of ticketed and free events with a portion of the festival’s profits donated to the Manchester Pride charity, supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
