Proud to be inclusive
We were born out of the co-operative movement 150 years ago, and it’s these co-operative values that have always driven us to make society better for everyone, regardless of sexuality, race, gender or disability. It's a vision of equality that we share with our customers and colleagues.
We have always had a passion for inclusivity in our local communities, where everyone has a place; from small businesses to the people that live there. And we’re incredibly proud to have sponsored the Manchester Pride Festival for 7 years running.
Championing an inclusive working culture
Our workplace culture reflects our values and ethics, and we are passionate about our ongoing commitment to inclusion and diversity. This is driven by our five colleague networks, set up by colleagues, for colleagues, to embrace inclusivity, celebrate our differences, and offer information and support.
Access: Supporting colleagues with disabilities, long-term health conditions, mental health conditions and caring responsibilities.
Elevate: The Bank’s gender inclusion network.
Futures: Our early career network, recognising the challenges people can face at the start of their career.
Proud Together: Representing LGBTQ+ colleagues across The Bank.
Reach: Celebrating race, ethnicity and cultural heritage.Join the conversation on social media
